Thanks for brightening up my days!

Over the span of two weeks I've been awared 4 awards. I don't mean to keep apologizing for everything but I feel bad that I haven't posted these on my blog yet. I feel bad that I haven't gotten around to reading everyones' blogs much less commenting. I just feel bad about it all. So I'm super sorry.

Back to the awards. The first comes from Kristen at Ladybug Blessings. I love her kind and inspiring words. Kristen always sees the positive in situations. She awarded me the Friend Award. This is the second time I get this award but it still means a ton to get it. Thanks Kristen!

Award number 2 comes from Amy at Keeping up with the Schultz Family. Amy and I have become great blogging friends. And hopefully we will one day meet in real life. I think Amy is so kind and a wonderful mother. I love reading her blog to see what great theme she has posted about. Amy awarded me the Super Blogger Award. Yay, thanks Amy!

My third award was given to me by Jen at Jen and Rob. I have to say that I love reading about how great of a couple Jen and her hubby are. I also can relate to Jen's TAKS stress because of my 5 years of teaching a TAKS grade. (Boy, I don't miss that now that I teach 2nd!) Jen awarded me the...hmmm...Lemonade Stand Award? What is the name of this award? Well anyway, this is also the second time getting this award but it still means a lot to get it. Thanks Jen!

The final award comes from Rachel over at A Doggie Life. I love how much she loves dogs. She is a true lover of nature. And you all need to check out her ask Ruby segment. It's so great! Rachel awarded me the One Lovely Blog Award. Thank you so much Rachel!

I know I'm supposed to follow the rules of each award, but I hope everyone is okay with me awarding people with whichever award you have not received. So if you indeed read this post and you have not gotten one of these awards then I award YOU!!!

So thanks again to all of you for the awards.

Gracias, Amy

This post is long over due. I want both thank and apologize to Amy. First I want to say thank you for awarding me this award. Second I want to apologize for the delay in my acceptance of it. Amy is one of the sweetest people I've had the chance to "meet". I've never met Amy in person but she's a sweetheart in the blogging community. With that being said I'm sure she will forgive me.

I've neglected my blog follower duties a tad bit. While I try to get on a few blogs nightly I'm having a hard time commenting on everyone's blog. I have to say that I've also neglected my posting duties. I quickly want to mention that I've had a lot on my mind since my return from Austin/San Antonio. I'll leave this to another post.

So again, thanks Amy. Thank you for this award. The rules to this blog award say I have to list 7 things I love and then pass it on to 7 bloggers I love.

My LOVES
  • I love GOD
  • I love Matt
  • I love my family
  • I love the San Antonio Spurs
  • I love macaroni and cheese
  • I love baking
  • I love to eat...especially cupcakes
Seven Bloggers I LOVE
  • Rachel: She LOVES dogs as much as I LOVE cupcakes and the Spurs. Hmmm, although loving dogs seems better.
  • Jen and Rob: I love to see what Jen is up to.
  • Rebecca Jo: Her love for God is inspiring.
  • Stacy: I love her courage to share her story with us.
  • Alicia: I love how sometimes she makes lemonade out of lemons. She's too funny! (Is that right, Jen? I have a way of messing up sayings!)
  • Celine: She's such a sweetie and looks at the good in everything.
  • Anne: I love her sense of humor. I always chuckle when I read her blog.
So there you have it! Thanks again Amy!

New Award

I just got the Love Ya Award from one of my favorite bloggers, Gwen B. (aka Skinny Bitch) from GOT to be KIDDING me. I love how open and matter-of-fact that Gwen is. She's not afraid to tell you exactly what she's thinking and how she's feeling. I admire that quality. I guess you can say I took a page from her book when I went off and wrote my post yesterday. Thanks to all of you for the touching comments. I shed a few tears...but in a good way. Oh and David, thank you so much for the male perspective. I REALLY, REALLY needed that. A thousand times, thank you!

So without further ado...

The LOVE YA award:
“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award"

I award this award to:
I really wanted to write a little something about each of you but I can sum it up in a quick statement. All these ladies have in one way or another (whether you know it or not) shown genuine love and support. I'm definitely on a journey and I'm so glad you ladies are on it with me.

And to all of my new and future readers. I look forward to awarding you future awards. Wait...that was presumptuous of me. What if I don't get anymore awards? I guess I wouldn't be able to award you with an award. Here I go again on a rambling fit.

Thank You, Thank You

My new blogging friend Celine awarded me with the Honest Scrap Award. I'm supposed to tell you 10 honest things about myself. Then I pass it on to a few other bloggers.

Here goes...
  1. I absolutely, positively hate scary or horror movies. This includes those torture movies. Yuck! Don't even ask me to watch them.
  2. Every night I sleep with a stuffed animal that is a dog I named Emanuel after Manu Ginobili. I use him more as a pillow than actually sleep with him, but occasionally I do wake up hugging him.
  3. I have been guilty of lying and not going out because I wanted to stay home and watch a San Antonio Spurs game. (Sorry peeps!)
  4. I met my boyfriend online. Totally and completely by accident. Not on one of those dating sites. Not that there is anything wrong with that at all.
  5. I love anything Little Miss Sunshine, cupcakes, Spurs, Harry Potter, and Horacio (my baby nephew).
  6. My two favorite roles are teacher and aunt.
  7. I don't believe I ever want to get married or have children. I didn't say never because you just never know.
  8. I am a total daddy's girl. Actually, I'm spoiled pretty much by my brother and mom too.
  9. When I am sick I am a total baby.
  10. This is a biggie: sometimes I pick my nose. Yes, that's right. Sometimes there just isn't any other way to get them out.
So now it's time for me to award other bloggers. I look forward to learning some of your honest moments.

Heidi over at Stuck in the Seatbelt: I would love to get to know more about you.

Anne over at Happy Funpants: I think your answers will crack me up.

Little 'Ol Me....

I want to thank Amy and Bonnie for giving me this award. They have become such great buddies of mine.

Bonnie:
I actually met Bonnie in person on my birthday last year. She and Jen had class together. Jen wanted to treat me to dinner so I tagged along as they met before class. I'm sure glad to have gotten to know Bonnie better through her blog. And it is so true that we share many similar interests and ideas. So cheers to my tomboy buddy. And thanks a lot for the award.

Amy:
I started reading Amy's blog because of Jen. I've come to really enjoy it because of Amy's love and appreciation of family. I too am very close to my family. And I think Alyce is too cute. I also feel that I know Amy a lot better because Jen tells me stories about when y'all were little. So thanks Amy for the award.

The rules for this award are that you must list 5 of your addictions and then give the award to five other people.
Tell these people about their award by leaving a comment for them on their blog.

My Addictions
Laughing: I can make anything into a joke. I find the humor in EVERYTHING, which can get me into trouble.

Celebrity Gossip: Because what Britney did over the weekend is really important.

San Antonio Spurs: Woo hoo!!! Go Spurs Go!!! I guess Manu Ginobili should be a category on his own but I'll include him here. I.LOVE.Manu.

Harry Potter: This boy wizard totally won my heart over. Technically Harry Potter is about a year younger than me. The books take place in the 90's rather than when they were released so it's okay for me to love him.

Arts and Crafts: I will attempt to make anything and everything. When I see invitations, greeting cards or jewelry the wheels in my head start turning. My thought: "Why buy something you can make yourself?" So I refuse to and make it myself. Next on the crafting plate...stamps. But some are sooo pricey.

And the award goes too....(drum roll please)
1. Jen: The gal that got me into this whole mess so I guess I would never have received this award without her. Jen has put up with so much of my attitude, drama, and excitement that she deserves this award and many others. Oh and not my attitude necessarily but I can be temperamental when someone rubs me the wrong way.

2. Heidi: I'm glad to have crossed paths with her. She is so giving with her time and it inspires me to do the same.

3. Anne: Without even knowing it she has come to the rescue with her witty posts and great sense of humor. I love reading her blog.

Don't have too many blogging friends so I pick you and you again.

4. Bonnie: What can I say? You crack me up. I love to read your blog. You are funny and deep. A really great balance.

5. Amy: I love to hear Alyce's point of view and how your life is so complete with her in it. You are a wonderful mother.

I'm so happy for all of you! I love to read your blogs and get to know you better.
