Yesterday was one of the most intense Spurs games I have ever seen. A lot is riding on this year's playoffs. I really want the Spurs to win a back to back championship. Also, they are one of the oldest teams in the NBA so I'm not sure if they'll win again after this year. I've also made a bet with the teacher at school. Winner of the Spurs/Suns series has to buy the other their favorite Starbucks drink every Friday for a month. Well to sum things up: Spurs lead the series 1 - 0. And it was a double overtime too. Now I love Manu but Timmy made the move of the day. Sport Center played it over, and over, and over. Timmy shot a 3 pointer and tied the game for the second time. Timmy hasn't made a 3 pointer since 2005. That's not his area. Then Manu shot the winning shot. Gotta love the Spurs and basketball.

Welcome Back, Brent!
Great news everyone! Brent Barry is back with the Spurs and actively participating. He's been back for a while but yesterday he finally played and he did well. I'm so glad. The playoffs start on Saturday so be ready to not hear from me for a couple of months. In real life, I mean. Not in the blogging world. Of course I'll have lots to talk about as the playoffs go on. Hopefully, the Spurs will be in it long enough. Go Spurs Go!
A coworker at school wants to place a wager on the Spurs vs Suns first round match up. I don't know what to bet. I'm not a better. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. The only criteria is that it has to be no more than 20 dollars. I guess we could just bet 20 dollars, but where's the fun in that, right?

Happy Birthday!
Today my family gathered to celebrate my older sisters' birthdays. One was born April 5th and the other was born today. I haven't mentioned a whole lot about my family but with time I probably will. My sisters are 10 and 11 years older than me. I also have a brother that is two years younger than me. As you can see there is a major age difference. My sister picked her favorite Mexican food restaurant, which I hate. I hate Mexican food and I hate that place and the Spurs were playing. However, being a trooper I went because it was their birthday.
So back to the reason for my blog entry. We all ordered drinks. Yummy! I hate to drink alone so I was overjoyed when my sisters wanted a drink also. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and to my surprise I was carded. Yay! All my friends know how upset I am that I'm turning 30 next year. Take that the big 30. Oh and the waiter didn't card my sisters. Ha ha!!!

OMG! Seriously?
The Spurs lose to Utah. Utah? I can't believe it! Sure they're a decent team. And they have the best home record, but seriously. With 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter and 20 points down, the Spurs decide to play all their bench players and not any other players. I get it. But with 9 minutes. Couldn't they have tried?
On a different subject, we had parent teacher conferences this week. Luckily for the second year in a row they went really well. Last year when taught 3rd I had to tell some parents that their child didn't pass TAKS and share with them my plan of action. The parents were all supportive and nice. I must admit that surprised me a bit. I've come to the conclusion that I have decent people skills. I've had some difficult conversations and difficult students and yet it turns out okay. Sometimes, I think my guardian angel works overtime.

HELLO!!!
I know that typing in all caps is supposed to mean you are yelling but I haven't written in years so I thought I would shout so people can know I'm here again.
First I have to start by saying that spring break was fantastic. I made a trip to San Antonio to visit friends and the school I used to work at. I had a blast. I even made a trip to the AT&T Center to stalk Manu. Kidding!!! I went to buy some gear for an up and coming Spurs fan. I think my baby looks so cute. I also got him a Manu jersey. How could I leave my babe out? But Horacio loves Timmy so I got him a 21.
On a different note, the Spurs have been performing better. And naturally Manu is the main man. I absolutely adore him. So here's to the Playoffs starting on April 20th.

Tears
Dear Spurs,
Where have you gone? I miss you. I don't understand how you could have lost 6 of the last seven games. I know your schedule lately has been tough but you are the Champions. I hope to see you all in the upcoming games. Have I told you that I miss you? However, like a true fan I will not abandon you. At least you still have my hunny, Manu. He is amazing but can't do it all himself. So, till we meet again.
Love,
Me

I Love Spring!
We are now in March and with it brings many great things.
I just can't wait. Oh and Go Spurs Go! It's almost time for me to give up all other forms of entertainment to make room for the NBA playoffs. Hope they don't play like they did yesterday against the Nuggets.
